NHL '09/'10 Season Thread

Nikkala made me do it!
It's worse than I thought! :rofl2:
The Anaheim Ducks have traded defenceman Chris Pronger to the Philadelphia Flyers for defenceman Luca Sbisa, forward Joffrey Lupul and two first-round picks.
And Pronger is a UFA in 2010! WTF is Holmgren thinking?

sorry for that false post of the potential kessel/kaberle trade... versus sounds like the deal was done... good thing for boston it didnt happend!

good trade for the ducks by the way

Tampa got 2 picks in the first round. i'm impressed. not only with quantity, but quality. Hedman will surely be great and Carter Ashton looks impressive.

The Habs HQ and the pressure on Gainey from Montreal media and fans to get a homegrown player have met and the Habs went with Louis Leblanc.

Leblanc is expected to play for Harvard University for the next 3 years so it's a long-term-project.

I'm expecting a lot of action today while rounds 2 to 7 will be held... Maybe the Kaberle-Kessel trade will finally be done? What's wrong with Holmgren: first he signs Emery and second he overpay for Pronger?

I cant believe the Sabres took who I wanted them to pick

Zach Kassian is a beast, he and Lucic are gonna have some epic battles, being in the same division

I also liked TBs picks

I'm very happy that they got Hedman , he's going to anchor our defense for years to come. The powerplay will be great again. As for Carter Ashton I think it was a nice addition in the first round , so far i'm pleased with what Tampa has done , let's just hope it stays that way ...

we've done a lot of wheeling and dealing to get some more picks. here is some updates from TB's twitter:

The Lightning have selected RW Richard Panik from Trinec of the Czech Super League with the 52nd overall pick

We are now trying to move a roster player for a third round... Brian Lawton

The Lightning have selected LW Alex Hutchings from the OHL's Barrie Colts with the 93rd overall pick.

Brian Lawton tells NHL network he expects Lecavalier to be on the team next year..

Just tried to make a deal for a pick and prospect... traded our 5th round in 2010 for the 148th pick.. Lawton

The Lightning have selected goaltender Michael Zador from the Oshawa Generals with the 148th overall pick.

We are working on one more potential trade to add a 7th round pick...

Tampa Bay selected G Jaroslav Janus in the sixth round. He was the starter for Team Slovakia at the World Juniors.

Trying for one more pick to end the day... last or second to last 7th... Lawton

Your name is BostonBruin, yet you sound like a Flames fan.:dunno:

Sabres GM Darcy Regier said Jaroslav Spacek turned down a 1yr offer and will most likely test the FA market

Anybody need a dman? he probably costs about 3.3 to 4 million

You guys have to sign him first.

sutter wouldnt have traded for him, if he dont already hava a big masterplan on his mind :D i dont have any doubt JBo will sign with the flames sooner or later ;)

nick was accidentially. i was watchin a bruins game while creating this account :D im a die-hard flames fan, but the b´s are second to them, because of their history, sturm (fellow german), lucic and the dropkick murphys  :glugglug:

The Leafs did nothing. Burk said none of there pics would be ready to play next year.
May be going after a free agent or two or it will be another long season again.

oh, and if a Lecavalier trade is in the works, tomorrow is the last day for it to happen.

<---still confident he's staying
