2-1 over Russia. Sweden gets the bronze and Germany is fourth. The tournament is the second most succesful tournament after 2004. Because Canada biffed it, Russia overtakes them for number one in the IIHF world rankings. Got to say, ended up being a good tournament for Germany and Denmark. Hopefully it will be a stepping point for those countries to join the next tier.

Sweden's coach Bengt-Åke Gustavsson was a real ass and took timeout and changed goalie when there was one second left in the game and they had 3-1 lead. What a dick!

It was plain to observe that Chicago is simply a better team that San Jose is. The showed a lot of grit to come back from 2 goals down to win it. Congrats to the Blackhawks.

Come on, Habs!! A Chicago-Philly final is like my worst nightmare (almost....Detroit would be worse).

I hate the Wild management for getting rid of him. I still think he's one of the top 5 players in the league.

Hoping the Flyers wrap it up tomorrow night. That said, simply getting to the finals will be the high water mark of the season--and I say this as a Flyers fan for the last 35 years. I don't see how they can match up with the Black Hawks. They might steal one game if Leighton plays out of his mind, but beyond that...no. At least, not as far as it looks right now.

I agree. Now the Rangers need to surround him with some help. Speed to keep up with him.

ps. Don't ever buy an Eris. I just spent 2 1/2 hrs at Verizon to replace that pile of shit.

As much as I hate em, I wouldn't count Philly out. They've been on a tear since that run at Boston. Chicago better stop em.

I figured you'd know more about this than anyone since you were keepin track of it earlier. I was just wondering why they're even bring it up at this point. Like you said they got plenty of time, all of next season right.

The NHL just wants a deal done. The original deal was to find a buyer by the end of June, and if I'm correct now it's till December 31st. They don't want the team in Winnipeg. They're just using the deadline thing as a ploy to get Glendale to negotiate with Ice Edge. The team was never going to move to Winnipeg, in my opinion.
