NFL '25 Season Thread

"The rest" of the NFL Draft:

Rd 4:
HOU took USC RB Woody (!) Marks
TEN took Texas TE G. Halen
CLE took Tenn RB D. Sampson
KC took Wash State WR J. Royals

Rd 5:
CLE finally stopped Colorado QB S. Sanders' fall
SF took Oregon RB J. James
NYG took Purdue OG M. Mbow
LAC took Auburn WR L. Smith

Rd 6:
Kickers! NE took Miami KCR A. Borregales
And .. BAL took Arizona KCR T. Loop (the masseuse fetish to claim BAL KCR Justin Tucker, most likely..)

Rd 7:
JAX took Syrcause RB L. Allen
SF took Montana WR/RB hybrid J. Bergen (remember, Deebo Samuel now in WAS)

Let's recap some news:

George Kittle signed a large extension with the 49ers. Brock Purdy is next on the docket.

George Pickens traded to Dallas.

Carolina releases Jadeveon Clowney in a movie which saves about 7 million in cap space.

The Steelers traded George Pickens to the Cowboys:

Cowboys received: George Pickens and 2027 sixth-round pick

Steelers received: 2026 third-round pick and a 2027 fifth-rounder

I think this was a bad trade for the Cowboys. George Pickens' poor attitude will not be good for their locker room.

The schedule was announced last week. Just noticed there was not a post about it. Cowboys at Eagles opens the season.

An attempt to ban the tush push failed today.

A new award will be presented each season for the best offensive lineman in the league - the Protector of the Year. That'll be interesting.

As a Steeler fan I am unsure about this. Rodgers is better than anyone currently on the roster, but his long-term potential is behind him. Maybe he can have a run like Manning in Denver?

The Steelers fumbled their offseason. I think they should have resigned Russel Wilson or Justin Fields. Rodgers has seen his best years and his attitude in recent years has been horrible.

Unless TJ Watt signs a contract extension, the Steelers aren't going anywhere in 2025.
Really? Considering they haven't gone anywhere for a couple decades, going somewhere would be surprising - TJ Watt or not.
