What the hell they gonna drink when Newcastle get relegated again? :weeping:

They will reopen it won't, please say they will reopen! There are other plants right, NewCastle Brown Ale isn't disappearing please say this is a nightmare and I am going to wake up and everything will be fine!

Fortunatly Newcastle isnt going away. Read the article, they are just closing this brewery. The make Newcastle in a different brewery now.

Agreed.

The brewers spent a fortune in registering the name as a "beer of origin" and a couple of years later moved it away from Newcastle to Gateshead.According to the rules they shouldn't have been allowed to keep on calling it Newcastle Brown Ale.
It's pretty poor stuff really though many people like it and it will simply be brewed elsewhere.I just don't like the idea of British beer being judged abroad on this sad example.

Awesome stuff.Found it on draught in Australia once.
Also called Dog (as people used to say "Just taking the dog for a walk" then going out for a pint)
