I see this is also the first animated quarter minted. Probably costs the mint more than 25 cents to make them. Then again pennies cost more that 1 cent to make.

I don't know if anyone has come upon this problem, but i've had lots of trouble getting soda machines to accept the new state quarters.i've taken to making sure i have old quarters to be sure i've got the extra 25 cents for the1.25 soda or drink.
