Holy shit! Reviewniverse is reporting that an anonymous source has told them that Beavis & Butthead creator Mike Judge is currently working on new episodes of the show. They are reporting there are no plans for actual broadcast yet, just that Judge is writing for what he hopes would be a full-fledged return. In the past, Judge always spoke positively about the characters saying he would love to ressurect them but just did not have the time. With King of the Hill over, and the lack of success for his new show, The Goode Family , it certainly seems like the man has some free time. Additionally, Judge is said to be keeping the same format of the original series with short skits interwoven with music video reviews. I know, MTV may actually play music videos again! Crazy, isn't it?

Beavis & Butthead was absolutely my favorite show as a young teen and even watching reruns now, I still laugh my ass off. I feel Judge never really got credit for how brilliantly he portrayed stupid teens. Nobody at MTV has yet to confirm this so I'm not going to get too excited. But even the possibility is worth writing about.

I'll believe it when I see it, but it'd be awesome if it's true.

My 'dream' idea has been for Mike Judge to bring Beavis and Butthead back, but my idea is to have them be older. That they aged since then and are still really stupid.
The way I see it, I was a teenager when the show was originally on the air, just as their characters were, and most viewers at the time. I'd like to see them at around 30, around the age of their original fans.
If they were still teenager, ok, I'd still be glad it was back on, but I'd rather see him do something like I said.

Oh, and btw, Fuck MTV. They don't deserve to have them back. Something like Comedy Central or Adult Swim would be more suitable nowadays.

To my knowledge, Judge can't do shit without MTV. Bevis and Butthead doesn't belong to him alone...unless something's changed in the last couple years.

1) More Beavis & Butthead.

2) Bring back Alternative Nation.

They need to just take all the current MTV execs out to sea on a boat chain them all together with heavy weights and push them off the side of the boat...I would love Beavis and Butthead to come back...plus Liquid Television, The State, Alex Winter's Idiot Box, 120 Minutes, Headbangers Ball, oh and Buzzkill that was the last show I like on MTV...Plus more videos with scantily clad women that is all.
