Should there be a neutral rep option?
Red rep, Green Rep, kind of cut and dry, huh? Maybe your on the fence about a post, maybe you want to warn someone, or just share a thought. By adding grey rep as an option, it bridges the gap between public response and PM. Grey rep could be unlimited for use daily, and would not effect rep count.
I have been an advocate against the rep system for awhile but have never had a compromise. The higher up rep count members could use grey rep to keep from repping someone up to a ludicrous amount. Or conversely keep from bumping 800 rep count members to even more ludicrous numbers.
I feel rep has never had a... control. I'm not bashing rep because I don't get enough, I asked not to receive any but it kept on coming!?! Nor am I bashing because I get an unfair amount of neg rep, only six stones (and not from who you'd think!)
My idea; red, green, and grey rep. Grey can be used between members for funny threads that don't really warrant +rep (we all have done it). And it can be used to keep a possible future member from being given 2 - rep stones for a small mistake and ******* them off to the point of tantrum.
I don't know if anyone feels the way I do, but I'm curious.
