Well I am going to sell my adult DVDs. I found a website that allow that and asked how to sell. Since my english is not really good I didn't really understand how it works...

This is what they wrote:

Hi there and welcome
Well, it is just like you would out the paper or even face to facem expect you post the item.

list your DVDs for sale, say they are original and come with cover (or not)
post a price with them
Wait for someone to reply to your thread stating they want a DVD, they will email you aswell stating they want the DVD etc

you send them your address so they can pop a cheque in the post (state on your post what methods of payments you will accept) when check comes, you goto the bank and cash it in, wait 3 working days and send it off to his address which he will give you via email and a letter with the cheque.

I dont know how the US works , but u can pay directly into the bank, and its best not to send boxes, just the disc and cover
start your prices high and drop them down after a week, look at what prices others are selling theirs at and sell yours a similar price, but check how much they are new to buy before you decide on a price, becuase some DVDs are still going for a lot more than others

SimonMK, just get some bubble padded mailers to mail the discs in. ShiWarrior was referring to the DVD box, if you are shipping to other countries it is much cheaper to mail without the plastic casing. As for payment, use what works for you. I wouldn't go with cash though, I know I wouldn't complete a trade where someone wanted me to mail cash, you are better off asking for a check or money order, that way the buyer and seller are protected. As for pricing, remember your discs are used so you aren't going to get what you paid for them. A good way to figure a sale price is to check places like Adult DVD Marketplace and see what they are being sold for. Hope this helps.

Even with all that, I am still confused on how to sell throught the web... :(

that's funny, my english is perfect and that confused the hell out of me!

Sounds like they're just saying you have to state what DVDs you have for sale, and then when someone wants one they'll contact you through that website, so you can discuss how they'll pay for it and their postage details. I guess you have to sell the DVDs one by one rather than all together, shame.

How does the payment and the delivery work? I am more worried about those stuff so I don't get my DVDs stolen or by accident did a mistake for the delivery and the guy never get the DVD.

This would be similar to selling on Ebay, another way which You Might want to consider. They say state what method of payments you accept as in check, money order, paypal. If you are going to accept checks you will need to get the check, deposit it and wait for it to clear your bank to insure its a good check.Don't forget to include shipping charges when you tell the buyer his final cost. Then using a padded envelope mail the buyer the disc, that should do it.

yeah man it says you should wait three days before mailing, so that should give you time to make sure you aren't about to get ripped off.

How do I know it will cleared in my bank? I go back to check my account.

Shipping charge? Never sold or buy product on the web, I never used Ebay too...

What is a padded envelope mail? Only the disc? Whouldn't the guy want the box of DVD too?

Yes check with your bank, you can eitheir call them or do it on line many times to see if check has cleared. You can check with the post office to find out what cost would be to mail something.A padded enevelope is an envelope with a bubble pack lining. And yes most would want the box and that should be included.I suggest you try to find someone local who has sold something this way to help you initialy. One other problem is if you look at sites like adult DVD marketplace you can gey many dvds new very cheap so I'm not so sure how much of a market you will find for your used ones.

Where can I get those padded envelope?

Since I live in Canada, I have to use ''Canada Post'' for delivery? Does that mean I need to write my address, his address and put a stamp on the envelope?

I will try to sell them at 15$ each and if nobody is interested I will gradually drop the price. But my DVD are pretty much new, I keep them clean and just watched each of them just once.

For the moment, I plan on just selling my DVDs in Canada... I just worried that the money difference between Canada and the United-State will confuse me even more.

Well those are all the DVDs I have and going to sell:

I think thats all my DVDs... I have some which came with magazine but I don't think it will sell. As you see I like the Suze Randall stuff a lot. lol

Damn bro... you bought all those dvd's? Why do you want to sell them now?

Well, I bought all those DVDs because they were all in special ($10 less then the original price) and when I bought the 11th DVD, I got a 50% price drop for any DVD. So I was like ''Why not''. And now I realize I almost never watch them and wasted my money. Like I watch for my first time and never touche it again...

I was wondering if I decided to sell in both Canada & the United-States, I post my price in canadian dollar but my customer live in the US. and pay the same amount with the americain money. When I receive it, will it be the same value? Or I will get less or more then my initial price? There no tax I assume?

And do I pay the charge or it him who pay it? How do I pay it? How does it work?
