Nearest rifle ranges to NYC that rent and reasonably priced?

Hey freeones crew,

This might be a longshot but who knows. By the time this summer ends I really want to head out to a shooting range but I'm not too sure on where good ones might be. I'm in NYC and am willing to drive about 3 or so hours maximum because of other constraints, any suggestions?

In NYC you can shoot a .22lr but I'd really like something centerfire. Of course it's also important the place is able to rent to someone without any kinds of gun permits or licenses, but I'm over 21 and have my driver's license of course.

Any help appreciated. :glugglug:

New York State Gun Ranges

Good luck.

BTW, any state that would convict a guy for shooting someone in a mob gathered outside his house, I'd probably look to move from... but that's just me. IMO, he should have used an AK with a drum (which I guess are illegal in NY) or a pump shotgun and gotten the Cicciaro punk and all of his lil pussy friends. But like I said, that's just me.

Down in Richmond years ago, a storekeeper was being robbed, so he whipped out a .25 auto and loaded the perp up... emptied his mag in him, yes he did! :nanner: As the guy was trying to crawl out the door (.25's aren't for shit), the store owner slapped another mag in and put about 10 more in the thieving bastard. He was indicted but the trial jury set him free on the defense that since the store owner was wheelchair bound, the guy COULD have been going to get another gun or his buddies to kill the shopkeeper. I like happy endings. I like my state. I think I'll stay. :)

So why even learn to shoot in a place where you're supposed to hide under your bed and hope that 911 responds before you get raped or murdered? Come south, young man! :wave2:

Thanks a lot for the link and post :)

OH I agree, this place really makes you feel like a subject. I'd love to move not just to feel more free in general but also not pay a fortune for a small hole in the ground, but I need to stay here to take care of my stubborn family.
