Does anyone miss NBA on NBC and the great theme song that they played. I remember when I was younger I would watch the triple headers they had on Sundays. I love the NBA but I can't say I like it as much as I did when it was on NBC, I don't know what it is about ABC's coverage but I just can't get into it.

That theme was on NBA Showtime for n64.
I sure do. ABC's coverage doesn't even come close. I also remember TNT's kick-ass theme song back in the day when they'd do games multiple times a week.
NFL have some pretty kick ass theme songs too. Last season I think it was Faith Hill who did the singing for Sunday Night football.
That's not kick ass at all.

It was a lot better when Pink did it the the inaugural season. She was a much better representative for a rip-off version of the old Joan Jett tune Hate Myself For Loving You. Faith Hill can't pull off the sleaze that is needed for that song to work....Pink could.
According to David Stern, the reason why the NBA doesnt do double or triple headers anymore is because you we have a greater number of games shown such as ESPN's games on Wednesdays and Fridays, TNT's on Thursdays, NBA TV shows games often, and ABC on Sunday.

The coverage of basketball on television has declined just liked the sport itself. It's not close to what it was, even college basketball, 20 years ago. Basketball seemed much bigger back then. Basketball might have even dropped behind baseball during that time. It just goes to show how stupid ideas by a league can really hurt it. Look at boxing. The biggest reason it's virtually disappeared during my lifetime and it's popularity dropped off a cliff is because it when from being broadcast to everybody to all that pay-per-view crap. That was even before MMA came about as a superior product.
Got to love John Tesh for the theme song, man can he play a keyboard. Reminds me of all those times he was a guest on Conan O Brien's Late Night Show.

Okay, I'll give you that. But singing aside, would rather look at scantily clad Pink or a scantly clad Faith Hill? I don't care if Faith comes out and just stands there, she's epically hot. I might not have cared for the Sunday Night game, but I damn sure didn't miss her intro.
