Magic vs Lakers in the finals, and the Lakers will choke again like last year.

The Lakers didn't choke last year. They weren't even supposed to make the playoffs, let alone the Finals. And they lost to a ridiculous Boston team. How is that choking? Hater?

I really don't think any teams in the West can ball with L.A in a 7 game series. It is these Eastern teams bulldozing through people that will give them a tough fight. Cleveland, Orlando in particular. The Magic already beat L.A twice and Cleveland has won the last 5 against the Lakers.

San Antonio is too old. Odd years don't mean anything.

New Orleans can't D up.

Pheonix doesn't have any idea of who they are anymore. And if they make the playoffs, they'll just lose to the Spurs.

Dallas wishes they had Devin Harris right now.

Denver is coached by George Karl.

Portland isn't there. Yet.

Houston has McGrady and Ming. So injuries will cost them.

Utah just can't win.

L.A needs to improve their point guard problem or the won't win shit. Janerro Pargo...Shaun Livingston...where are you???

That was before 1) Kobe decided to play with focus rather than mail it in due to his dispute with ownership and 2) Gasol dropped into their laps in exchange for virtually nothing. From the Gasol trade on expectations were very high. As I recall they were the betting line favorites to beat the Celtics in the finals.

No actually. I'm a fan. Just trying to keep it real. IMO they did choke away two of last year's championship series games.....games 1 and 4. Then while getting utterly bitch slapped in game 6 they quit like gutless wonders. Pretty much the same way the 2004 Lakers imploded in the finals against Detroit. Kobe had sub par series both times, and despite Bynum returning this year's team still has a number of weaknesses.

magic have some shooters out there...nelson is really coming up as a great point guard...lewis, turko, JJ...all are great shooters...and u got howard inside...this team is a force...33 wins, so far

which is the reason they have the best record in the nba and beat teams like the hornets and the hawks by 30+ points (two teams that have good defenses btw).

i can see the magic making it to the eastern finals if not the nba finals...

Lakers vs Cavs!!!

I think the lakers breeze through the playoffs to the Finals. The Spurs take them to 6 games, but thats their toughest challenge.

It will be difficult for LeBron and the Cavs throughout the playoffs, possibly playing the Magic and Celtics, but I think they win both series in 7.

I want to see Phil Jackson vs the best player in the league. He can win when he has that player (Jordan, Shaq/Kobe), but I want to see how he coaches against that player (Lebron)

Lakers win against Cavs in 6. Kobe gets his post Shaq title and the entire world will shut the fuck up finally.

I think next year will be a huge year for Portland. Roy, Aldridge and Oden are money.

Yeah, but I am a believer that they need more than one more season to gain the skill they need to work together good enough for the finals. I thought it was funny how Oden was so anticipated and couldn't even play his first year and then Roy stole the spotlight from him. That guys a machine. Give Oden another year or two to work on his fouling troubles and get used to the team and they should be able to work great together. Of course, there is Aldridge too, who I would be ignorant to ignore. He's smokin' this year. Fernandez is picking up as well. When the team learns to work great together, they will accomplish alot.
