I actually felt good to say I'm a Lakers fan tonight. Tough win. The guys put it all out there. The noobs let the game 7 get to them, but the vets took care of business. Kobe got his team involved and put the knife in Denver's chest with that late 3. God damn that's good to watch. Blake played huge and Pau finally played like Pau. 23, 17, 6 and 4? Hell of a line. Bynum showed some heart and grit with his help D and hustle. That's all we ask for, dude. Put an effort and keep your mouth shut. MWP hit some key baskets when Karl decided to double Kobe for some reason. He shut down Galinari like a bauuusss though. That's what's important. It allowed Kobe to key in on Lawson, and that's that.

If the Pau and Bynum play like this every game, we beat OKC in 6. If they fuck the dog like they did in games 5 and 6, this will be hard to watch.

i just found out derek fisher is in oklahoma.

great.

now who do i root for?

certainly not the spurs. the poor bulls dont have a chance now.. fuck the heat, whos left?

i guess if the clippers can knock it off with the losing and finish this shit already.

if they lose... then screw it all. ill at least be done trying to mooch off games. fucking waste of a season.

STD, why are you a fan? Can you tell me why you are a fan of American teams when you are a Canadian? This confuses me. Shit...I think I asked you this a while ago. I'm drunk right now, but you are a Canadian and it baffles me that you root for these elitist teams (Best teams like Lakers and 49ers is easy to grab onto since they have so many titles).

I have family in California. When we would visit, they'd take us to a game. If they came here, they'd bring me a Lakers hat or shirt or something. It's not as if I picked a team out of the blue. I feel like team support is strengthened by generations of fandom in the family. My dad is a scumbag (who likes the Spurs for some reason) and was never around, so naturally I gravitate towards what I do know. And at that point it was the Lakers. Same goes for the 9ers.

Being Canadian has nothing to do with it. It's a North American league. By your logic, I can't have a favourite football team?

Why not the Spurs? I know you're a Suns fan, but if there is any team that's done things the right way, it's them. Surely you can appreciate their success and system. If not them, why not Memphis? Great team. Fun to watch and they're going to beat down the Floppers tomorrow night.

the spurs.. when i moved out here, and the suns were actually good (seems like forever!), the spurs were their ultimate rivals. i think they are regarded as THE sun's rivals actually.. i cant get over that.

i grew to hate ginobli aka the untouchable man and tony parker with his caterpillar face. tim duncan i cant really hate on though. he seems like a cool guy. but thats not enough. i cant flop back and say go spurs. UNLESS! it comes down to them vs the heat or the lakers which are the teams i dislike most. no offense, of course. ;)

so yeah. the grizzlies.. eh. ive seen em play in person upclose and personal. not really an exciting team. i dont hate em or anything. i admire zach's toughness but the team doesnt do anything for me. again, ill go for them over the other guys.

but at this point.. eh. i wanted to see chicago do some damage. as well as new york. but no one's in it that i care about really now.

again, missing the entire season didnt help. i just found out about derek fisher for crying out loud. im totally lost.

I think the Pacers are going to be a pretty tough opponent. They gave us a run for our money today. I wouldn't be surprised if this series goes 6.

I think the Heat's chances to win a championship take a pretty big hit if Bosh is out for an extended period of time. Whether people like to admit it or not he's a crucial piece to the Miami puzzle and the Heat will be challenged to cover his absence using the pieces they have while keeping Lebron and Wade focused on their own tasks. That said, if it's nothing more than an abdominal strain he shouldn't be out for more than a few games.

Clippers down Grizzlies in Game Seven
The Los Angeles Clippers beat the Memphis Grizzlies 82-72 to reach the second round of the NBA play-offs while the Miami Heat, led by MVP LeBron James, took another step toward the title they are expected to win by defeating Indiana in their series opener.

Miami will still storm through the East. Lebron can guard KG, while Battier takes Pierce.

The West was going to win regardless.

Bosh being out helps the Heat with the next 2 series. The Heat need to play with urgency the whole game, every game. They will do that now. Lebron will look to get his the whole game, not just the 2nd half. Sorry Pacers,Celtics you now have no chance. The Finals will be a different story; they will need Bosh.
