It's been reported that Pat Riley will stay in his current role with the Miami Heat, and Erik Spoelstra (sp?) will return as head coach next season.

Right move?

The Miami Heat overachieved big time in order to make it to the finals. I'm not sold on Spoelstra as being a brilliant coach, but he deserved another season. However, if the Heat don't win next season, he'll be gone for sure. That may not be fair because their roster is still far from championship calibre, but that's what people expect of them, so whudayugonnadu?

Pretty much agree with everything you just said...

The Minnesota Timberwolves have offered their #2 and Micheal Beasely to the Los Angeles Lakers for Andrew Bynum.

This won't go through, but it shows the calibre player they expect for their #2 pick.

San Antonio has started taking offers for PG Tony Parker. The Spurs are trying to move into the lottery and have had discussions with Toronto at #5 and Sacramento at #7.

Fredette at 3 would be a huuuuuuge waste of a pick. Knight is sooo much more polished. And word is Harris is on the trading block. If they want Fredette so bad, they should take Kanter at 3.

I agree. It would be a reach for them to draft Fredette at number 3. Most mock drafts have him going somewhere in the middle of the draft.

Absolutely. That trade would be major league stupid for the T-Wolves. Fuck, that's stupid...

This idea just gave me gas. Hot damn!

The Wolves have one of the youngest teams in the NBA. Kahn probably wants to develop his team around a star like the Cavs did with LBJ.

David Kahn doesnt have darn clue what hes doing in Minnesota. his first draft he has 4 round picks and he botches each pick. takes 3 point guards (trades the 1 that actually did become a producer for the long haul) and a small forward with Wayne Ellington who has been invisible so far. I feel sorry for Kurt Rambis, he can be a good coach but he has an imbecile for a GM and a bigger idiot for an owner

L.A and Philadelphia have discussed swapping Iguadala for Lamar Odom and Ron Artest.

Kurt Rambis is out as coach of the Timberwolves. Lorenzo Romar, University of Washington coach and Bernie Bickerstaff, assistant with the Trailblazers are the two front runners to replace Rambis.

Fuck you Ron Artest. Play basketball. I hope him and Odom are shipped out along with their stupid ass shows.

Wow, nice ESPN. Use Rolling in the Deep for a preview video... after the NHL did it.

Well on one hand, the Raptors picked probably the best remaining center in the draft.

But, on the other... FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Weird, uneventful draft, considering all the hype and rumours going around.

Pistons got a steal with Knight at 8.

Bucks take Jimmer. Sorry BSS :(

The Jazz got fucked. They must have figured Knight, Kemba or Jimmer would have been available at 12 when they drafted Kanter at 3. The other PG's are a reach now.

Anybody think GM's might think the Euro leagues overseas are more competitive than the NCAA, and their players are more battle tested and NBA ready? Or are all these high Euro picks just a trend started by Dirk winning Finals MVP?

Sorry. Kings take Jimmer. This trade stuff gets confusing. The Bucks picked Jimmer on behalf of the Kings.

In case nobody heard...The Kings have reportedly afreed to a trade that would send John Salmons to Sacramento,Stephen Jackson to the Bucks and Corey Maggette to the Bobcats. A bunch of picks were swapped as well. I'm too lazy to post it.

I would like to see it where the Euro and other non-NBA leagues raise their game up just a little, and where the young talent in the US goes to them for a year or two instead of the NCAA system where they are forced to work for free for a couple of years. If I was a top high school basketball talent I might just be tempted to do it now and encourage as many people as I could to do it now just to give a big "screw you" to the NCAA and the NBA who are in bed with them.

They might get actual better basketball experience that way, work in more mature systems, and actually get paid somewhat well for what they do.
