I agree. I think the Heat will get somewhat better, but that riptide they caused is really about to take effect. Yes, they will improve, but so will the competition. The Bulls look hungry...
REAL HUNGRY.
Right now. With the cap room they still have and draft picks, you can bet a major move is on the horizon to put them over-the-top. The Knicks will certainly get better as they seem to be one piece away from being a kingpin. I also wouldn't sleep on the mid to low playoff teams either. The Pacers, Sixers, and Hawks all had flashes of good play in key stretches and seem to be trying to get it figured out. Not to mention Boston and Orlando (barring a D12 move), none of these teams are gonna be easy outs next season, with Chicago and New York expected to be even stronger.
The Heat are definetly gonna have to find more shots for other guys. It really doesn't matter if they bring in a decent player if they won't let him operate. All season, Miami has kept guys other than the Big 3 to 7 ahot attempts or less per game. The key to Miami's success is that it takes about a full season to figure out the new guys. At times, Miami didn't know how to manage this new lineup, so you know good and well nobody else did. Hopefully, they can get a full season out of Haslem next year, which should be a boost. Now, however, some of the better teams have seen them up close in these playoffs, with a lot of time to tweak personnel and planning. Boston, Philly, and Chicago are definetly gonna be more prepared and confident next year, and it is imparative that Miami doesn't sit on their hands, and try to keep things as is.
