Why exactly are you fishing for a response?

Anyway, I'll oblige. Miami has not been anywhere near consistent, and haven't shown me that they can be. The reason is because the supporting cast is trash. The Bulls are much, much more of a complete team, and it shows. Chicago can beat the better teams, Miami cannot. This is proven. The Heat lost games that they tried their damnedest to win, and haven't gotten past working solely through the Big 3. This method is good enough to beat mediocre teams, but not the best.

It's not exactly true that you don't win championships based on the regular season, because you can't get to the playoffs without performing at least somewhat well in the regular season. How many 8, 7, or 6 seeds have won it all?

Exactly.

So being a top 10 team overall after the regular season means a lot. It's easy to look past this and make excuses when your favorite team is underachieving. You can have all the veteran leadership, intangibles and other bullshit you want, but if you cannot execute consistently and efficiently, all that other shit is pointless. Miami has not done this against the better teams in the league, and there is no other way to cut it. Buts, ifs, maybes, and could've been's aside, they have not been proven to be a better team than the Chicago Bulls. Are they better than the Los Angeles Lakers?

They may be, seeing as how the only way to determine this is to play. They've done that. Miami comes away with the advantage. Not even the Lakers can argue this right now. You can beat 199 of 200 teams, if you can't beat that one, does that one not have the advantage? I think so. Especially over the span of more than one game.

First of all, I typed that because I wanted your opinion.

Secondly, yes, Miami has been very inconsistent. It's the reason why I'm not picking them to win it all. But can they beat the Bulls? Fuck yeah they can... and I think they will. And if you want base it off the 3 games, Miami has a great shot. Are telling me Kyle Korver, Luol Deng, and the refs, are going to decide every game?

I think Miami has improved since then. I don't think it's a stretch to say they could beat the Bulls.

Third... 6,7, 8 seeds? Don't know where you're going with there. Doesn't apply to either team.

Wow, ahead of the Lakers? Ok. ;)

Like I said, the only way to know which team is better is to play it out. The Bulls and Heat played 3 times.

The Bulls won all 3.

Everything else surrounding those results are secondary. Cut any other way you want, but it's true. We'll see if they have improved, but I can't go off that. Get em' on the court... til' then, the Bulls are better by virtue of head to head, overall record, and team ranking.

I guess these are one of those "agree to disagree" moments

Man, I am jealous of you guys. The Pistons are my squad and we have no hope of doing anything right now or even next year. It has been one long, embarrassing, and dysfunctional season. Thankfully it is almost over.

I hope you're right. I love Jerebko and think he can be a quality player for us. We have a young core but so much $$$ is tied up in Rip, Ben Gordon, and CV than I think it will be a while before we can build around these young guys.

Just thank God that you don't have to tolerate watching the Wolves for the last 20 years. Sheesh, what an abomination that franchise is. Hell, even the Gophers are rough to watch.

I'm convinced college hoops is passing TONS of $$$ around to get their players. No way in hell Tubby Smith lets the state's top two recruits cross the border to Wisconsin....NO WAY.

Truth. There is some heavy contracts weighing down the team. It doesn't help that they're still feeling the hurt from that bust of a draft in 2003. Wade, Bosh and now 'Melo are going to make it a lot harder for Detroit to make it back to the top.

I heard Mike Ilitch is trying to buy the Pistons and move them downtown. This would be amazing. The Palace is so secluded from the rest of Detroit. Downtown with the Lions, Tigers and Wings will do wonders. Ilitch is a G. He knows how to run a franchise.

I really don't think D-Rose should be the runaway favorite to be MVP. I think guys like Dwight Howard, Lebron James, Kevin Durant, D-Wade, etc... should get more love.

If I had a vote... sure, I probably vote for D-Rose. But I think Lebron and Wade are right up there, and everyone is forgetting about Dwight Howard and Kevin Durant.

Heck, Kobe deserves some love too. I can't believe he only has one.

All good choices but in the end I really think Rose is going to be the MVP.

The only thing about my Bulls that worries me is the question of will the supporting cast be able to step up if Rose has a bad game like he did last night against Philadelphia. Although he scored 31 points, every time he got into the paint Philly threw three bodies at him and he turned the ball over ten times which is unacceptable. It's not who will step up if Rose has a bad game, it's will they step up? If Rose has a bad game, Boozer, Deng and the 'Bench Mob' will have to pick up the slack. They didn't do this last night let's just hope this doesn't happen in the payoffs.

Rarely does the most deserving player win the MVP, but I think Rose winning will be deserving. The injuries that team has overcome to get to 1st in the conference is too much to overlook. I was lobbying for Lebron earlier in the season, he has the stats to take it, but Rose is #1 now.

Kobe deserved it in 2005/06 with his 35ppg, 5rpg, 5apg and carrying kwame brown and smush Parker into the playoffs. And in 2002/03 with his 30ppg, 7rpg, 6apg. That's Jordan shit right there but they gave it to Duncan. Lol.

Wade deserved it the first year Lebron won.
Durant deserved it last year.
Chris Paul deserved it the year Kobe won.
Lebron deserved it when Dirk won.

This is the first year in a while where the most deserving guy will actually win.

1. Rose
2. Howard
3. Lebron
4. Amare
5. Wade
