NBA '09/'10 Season Thread

The Celtics whine more than the Spurs. People saying Boston lost cuz of Perkins' ejection. Well, two things:

1- Orlando was winning by double digits when he left
2- Wallace and Davis played great in his stead

And about Boston next year, I see no dropoff. Sure, KG and Ray Allen and Paul Pierce (btw he tried to kill JJ Redick) will probably lose a little. But an improving Rondo will make up for it. Especially if they resign Nate and give him a chance. If Ray Allen leaves it's probably for the good, they'd be able to sign someone better with the extra cap room.

I can see them signing Joe Johnson with him replacing Allen at the 2.

CHAMPS can thank our lucky stars for this one lakers are "SO HOLLYWOOD" always with the drama....

now im no hall of fame coach but i'll play one here...

why would one ever switch the pick & roll between a 1 & 5???

nash will kill gasol all day long on this damn switch an we had that match up 3 times in the fourth... while hall of famer and perhaps greatest coach of all time was asleep...

what a game last night but am i the only one a little worried it took an awesome late game shot to win it for the lakers what is happening to them

2nd time in the playoffs Kobe beat a team in the last seconds without making the shot.

I swear..teams are so used to Kobe hitting the game winning shot at the end that they are surprised when he misses. They stand around playing spectator when the Lakers are going for the offensive put back. I chalk that up to Kobe still beating you without even making the shot.

Got so excited after Richardson's three, then Ron Ron shot me hopes down.

Freakin Artest.....

If you're a Suns fan, I would say "Freakin' Richardson," not "Freakin' Artest." Nonetheless, the dramatics wouldn't have even been necessary if the Lakers could have just gotten a defensive rebound on that posession. Steve Nash even grabbed a rebound during that trip down the floor. Richardson's 3 was nearly the dagger, but he failed to box out Artest on the other end during that final sequence, coming from the weak side, no less. I guess that's the Suns' pennance for hitting a lucky bankshot 3 (not taking away from the impact of the shot, or Richardson's play, he's a fantastic player, but anytime you bank a 3 to tie a game with 3 seconds to go in the conference finals, that's lucky), to tie the game in the waining seconds. Hopefully the Lakers can get a game in Phx and end this thing ASAP.

Lucky for sure but still very exciting especially it being the third rebound.

I'm still confident in the suns just because of how badly LA played in the fourth. I say "Freakin Artest" because the guy doesn't do anything spectacular in the whole playoffs then just sneaks in and wins the game... J Rich was at fault sure but I felt more angry at Ron Ron than Richardson.

LukeEl

I am a failure to the Korean side of my family
It is only a matter of time for the Celtics to take a playoff page from the Bruins

if the celtics loose tonight they will not win game 7 so this is do or die for them.
which they should take care of business at home no excuses

I hear you, for sure. I have been yelling "Freakin' Artest!" throughout the playoffs for those very same reasons, except for last night, of course haha! Damn, though... leads of, what? 20 & 18 at separate intervals throughout the course of game 5 blown to shit. I'm not sure if LA can win in Phx, it might come down to a game seven in LA.

I notice many Lakers fans here, any Clipper fans? Just kidding they don't exist.

Phx wins at home and then takes seven on the road. (Wishful)

Sadly, Boston closes tonight.
