regular season doesnt mean much they will get in as one of the top 3 seeds and win out in the west and face orlando in the finals and win in game 6
The end of the regular season means a lot. Confidence can do a lot for a team streaking into the playoffs.
Orlando again? I've got LeBron winning the East this time and Dallas winning the West. Denying us all Kobe vs. LeBron yet again.
for a vet team like the lakers they dont need confidence i dont think they are worried about any team but maybe the nuggests.
Lebron wont make to the finals this year and will leave cleveland next year
I do think the team in the east will be orlando.
It will come down between cleveland and orlando and howard will show shaq why he is the best center in the nba today
i know this much Boston fears Atlanta like people fear cancer if they met i think atlanta will win in 6 maybe even 5 . they are to fast for the old beat up champs
IMO Orlando will win the East. They play great against top notch opponents , just are inconsistent against lesser teams. Same reason Denver, who I still maintain are the 2nd best team out West (and 4th overall), are dangerous.

tonight its vs the sucky raptors a team the great KOBE once scored 81 pts on oh yes that did happen
at lease we back where things are normal here in LA LA LAND where the weather is good among other things... I must say this though if the champs get off to a bad start are we lossing at half time the LA FANS will BOOOOOOOO dat ass... and if we don't keep them under 100 the fans will be pissed because that 2 free tacos just gone and LA FANS loves some free tacos

I think the Lakers are playing solid D, but their offense is sputtering. Kobe is hurt more than he is letting on and his desire to fight through the injuries is hurting the team.

Da Champs needed yet another game winning shot by the great one Kobe to win tonight that make # 7 this year I mean he is not going to have nothing left for the playoff other guys need to start stepping up this last few weeks of the season if we expect to repeat...

This Raptors team is probably one of the best I've seen, but that's not saying much given how mediocre the team has been in its short existence. They've really stepped up their game this year, but since Bosh got injured they've been on a slide. It's really shown how much the team relies on Bosh. His presence on the court makes the team that much better. If he is out much longer the Raptors could be facing a big drop in the standings. They'll probably make the playoffs this year, but I can't see them getting out of the first round, especially if they end up having to play Cleveland or another top team.
Normally I would be *****, but not this time. The D is good. They are never going to be an elite defensive team. That's not the philosophy in L.A. They allow under 100 ppg. Their offense needs to step up. When Kobe was out, the team showed they can lay a beating on any team. They played better without Kobe those 5 games. 4 wins, 1 loss to Boston. Kobe comes back into the lineup and the offense starts sputtering. He's hurt, and he's bringing down the team. He needs to realize he will be more effective facilitating than scoring. He could easily put up 15-12-8 numbers if he ****** the ball more. He has superstars like Gasol, Artest, Bynum and Odom who can score. He doesn't have to take the game winning shot. L.A should be blowing these teams out of the water. No offense Plasma, I'm a Raptor fan too, but L.A should have never lost the first game, and they shouldn't have let them hang around this time. It's frustrating losing to teams like Toronto, Miami, Charlotte and so forth.
I'm rambling on here, but my point is, the D is good enough to win games. Kobe is hurt, and he needs to sit, or start passing the ball more. If Kobe passes more than he shoots, L.A is unbeatable.
Also, they should be going to the inside more. Bynum/Gasol is too much for any team to handle. If they can play a dominant game, it'll just make it easier for Artest, Kobe and Fisher to nail their jump shots.
It makes more sense than any other team. Clippers are stacked, adding Lebron would have title written all over it.

That's an elite starting lineup. And you still have Butler, Outlaw, Blake and Jordan coming off the bench.
I could see them beating Atlanta or Boston. Theyll likely be the 5 seed, which makes 1 of these matchups very likely.
