name some great albums that no one knows about

If no one knows them, how could I name them?

or can I just name them whatever I want to, since they are unknown, undiscovered and presumably nameless?

Or should I just name a bunch of albums that I like, whether they are actually overlooked or not?

Ok. now that i'm done making fun of this thread...

first off, i'd say Uncle Tupollo (sp?), there first couple albums. I don't know how "unknown" they are, but they never seem to get much play. Heck, on that note, even Wilco doesn't get the cred they deserve.

Now a band that nobody knows about is the Fugs. they were a group in the 60's, so just think of that style of rock. But they had such perfect-for-freeone's songs such as "wet dream of you" and "sit on my face".

One little-known fact about "Rescue Me" is that Leonard Haze, the band's drummer, absolutely HATES the song for something that happened when they were recording it and the recording engineer wouldn't let them redo. During the last chorus, just before the outro, someone screwed something up, and Leonard thought that the engineer would call for a cut, so he stopped playing for a split second. When he realized that they were just gonna play through the mistake he resumed playing, but he came in just a shade ahead of the beat, and that has bothered him ever since.

Once, Leonard was riding in my car and I played the song to find out where his big screw-up was, as I couldn't hear it. As soon as he heard the intro riff he cringed and fast forwarded to the problem spot. He rewinded the track several times until I heard where the problem was. Honestly, I have a pretty good sense of rhythm and I could barely detect that he had missed the beat, so it's not something that would be a glaring mistake to anyone who didn't know about it, but he said that he knew about it, and it would always bother him.

On a side note about the video that you posted, it's really weird for me to watch it because I've worked at that venue several times and it looks exactly the same now as it did back then. It seems to me as if someone filmed video of the building, and then spliced a Y&T video over it.
