I think myspace is a ticking time bomb. It's already so rife with phony profiles, and people using profiles to advertise (I keep getting the "online survey" folks trying to add me as a friend) that I find actually communicating with other *people* on it to be difficult anymore.
There's just no one moderating it well enough. After the 2,714th crappy band from a thousand miles from where I live sent me friend requests and messages telling me I needed to check them out this weekend, I about gave up.
