Of those choices, I listen to a lot of Hip Hop but only good hip hop. No new shit with the exception for a couple. I also listen to some key genres that aren't represented on the choices. Jazz, Funk, R&B, Soul, Blues, Folk etc.

Hip hop--think Nas or the Roots...hip hop is almost always misrepresented in the media, so I always feel like I need to clarify what I mean when I say I like it...

I also love rock, particularly punk (not the emo shit masquerading as punk). I love everything from hardcore bands like Dead Kennedys or Bad Brains to English punk like the Clash and even ska/punk hybrids like Operation Ivy. Only music I don't generally listen to is country, although I'm a big Johnny Cash fan.

I love all genres, but I am highly fond of Rock & Roll. Not many beat the old 1960-1970's rock. I love Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, The Rolling Stones, Tina Turner. I love Soul, Rhythm & Blues, Jazz, Metal, Funk Reggae & a little Rap, but not much.

Right now I am really into Tina Turner & The Rolling Stones. Her performance with them in 1969, on the Gimme Shelter DVD, is so sexual, so full of love and she is all around incredible.
