The secret ingredient? MY BALLS
I know this seems like a really pointless thread, but I'm actually trying to get some true and honest feedback by posting this. I'm not currently in a band, as I have dedicated my life to cooking for the past number of years and need some time to get back into the swing of things (musically), but I plan on starting one in the near future.

I have over 30 songs already written and another 10 or 20 that are, well, let's say "in the process" of being written. I want to know what you think is the most important element to a song in order for you to truly enjoy listening to it.

Is it the music itself?
Is it the lyrics?
Is it the person/band who performs the music?
Is it some combination of the three?

:dunno:

For example...

If a song has really good music but really bad lyrics, would you still like it? Can the melody make you completely not care about how terrible and meaningless the lyrics are?

Vice versa...if the song had really bad music but really good lyrics, would you still like it? Can you enjoy a song that has really amazing lyrics, but has a melody that could be written by a 9 year old?

Do you tend to like songs better just because they are performed by a certain artist or band?
