Seems like since two days it became impossible to browse porn using Firefox 1.5, let me explain. I open all new links in the pornstar and centerfold section as new tab so depending on how many new links there are I got like 50 tabs open. The problem now is lately there is always a site that takes the whole browser down. :mad: I can't even see then what sites were visited already because the history is not saved when the browser crashes.

Also I wonder what is the smartest way to browse porn, is it possible for instance to open all links on a site as new tab that weren't visited yet (all new porn!).
Firefox is still having some problems when you open 30-40 tabs in the same windows, try to browse your porn smoother..
however you can also try to find a plugin like "crash recovery" that automaticaly save your tabs even when FF is crashing..
just my :2 cents:

I browse Freeones like that for ages without any problems, I believe there are days with +100 new links and thus +100 tabs. Either there must be a change in Version 1.5 making it crash or there are just that nasty new sites that weren't before. Here is a example, a recent freeones link takes my Firefox down:

Alright, something weird is going on here. It crashes only if I open it from the freeones link page but not from within my text editor or this forum where a completely different page appears.

I always wait a little while after something like that comes out so they have a bit of time to fix some of the bugs. I'll dl it eventually :)

That's good advice, IMO - I tend to do the same.

Re: Firefox 1.5 Released Today!

Firefox 1.0x with PrefBar is the ultimate porn surfer's dream.
As far as holes, you should do some research on the "quantity" v. "quality."

Open source people aren't shy to find the tiniest hole and fix it immediately -- even if there is no risk.
Microsoft waits until it is an issue and also so it can issue a massive patchset, so many things that are multiple bugs get only counted once.

Furthermore, you have to understand the seriousness of most issues fixed in Firefox v. IE.
As I always say, MS IE and MS Office would qualify as "priviledge escalation" by their very basic requirements if held up to OpenOffice and Firefox.

I'd rather not run applications to have issues if you aren't a power user/administrator and are tied to core OS components that crash the OS if you remove their DLLs.

But someone has to use(test) the new software, or no bugs will be found :)

That always reminds me of people that tell you to never go to a surgeon that hasn't performed a lot of surgeries in what you need to have done. Then that makes you wonder how the younger will get experience under them if people never want them to do anything. It must be one of those things where you want other people to do it so you don’t have to. Of course this is only a software program here.

I'll USING Firefox 1.5, but it's not my main browser, 1.0.7+PrefBar still is.
There's a difference between adopting something and trying it out, providing feedback/bug reports.

I gave up on it. I found IE better rounded for my needs :)

It's been a month now and it's grown on me.
The tabbed browsing is a plus.
I really hated that there was no spell check feature like iespell for windows, but today I found this extension SpellBound Development

I thought you fellow Firefox user might like this extension

It Includes:
* Spell as you type for input and text area elements as well as rich text editors
* Libraries for the official Win32, Mac OS X, and Linux 1.5 releases
* Libraries for the OS/2 contributed build and the FreeBSD.org builds of 1.5
* Includes the en-US dictionary
* Help file available from the SpellBound options dialog.
* Multi-language dictionaries available

To display the spell as you type spelling suggestions ctrl+left-click on the misspelled word. I used left-click (along with the ctrl key) due to issues where right clicking a new location not placing the caret in the proper place which required a left click then a right click to display the popup.
Be warned... it is only compatible with 1.5 and I need to verify a couple of things before anyone should use this with the trunk.
It removes the old spell check libraries on first run.
If your user account doesn't have write access to the app's components directory you will need to install a dictionary from http://dictionaries.mozdev.org/installation.html or http://www.mozilla.com/thunderbird/dictionaries.html with an account that does (this primarily affects Linux users but it can affect any Operating System).
If you install additional dictionaries it will create backups of the dictionaries and install them again if you re-install Firefox as long as you have write access.
The only locale currently is en-US.

Be sure to first check the help file if you have any questions...
