normally it's no problem in germany. our dubbing artists are really good even if i know that dubbing can destroy the natural atmosphere of a film, especially outdoor-scenes. i like to watch a film in my own language at first, just to understand the whole thing. and if the film is great, i like to see the original as well, just to get a different perspective. but to me, it's really hard to follow complicate dialogues in english. and subtitles.. no way! i want to watch a film and not read it.

when it comes to porn, i only like originals. synchronized groaning doesn't make me horny at all.

When I was in college I went and saw The Color Purple with some friends.
Afterwards, they were just raving about it, but I thought it was one of the worst, boring movies I'd ever seen.

I know the critics loved it too, because it was up for several Oscars that year.

"Apocolypse Now".....didn't see it for so long, so many people told me how awesome it was and when i finally saw it, i was severely unimpressed, the acting was great but i just didn't find the movie all that great and the ending was one of the worst endings ever. I read the book "Heart Of Darkness" in college, and thats what the movie is based on....wayyyyyy better than the movie.

For some reason a lot of people like Starship Troopers.

Having read the book first, and after writing two papers on it - I hated that movie. It was a cheap shot.


I expected better from the man who made RoboCop.
