I'm a retro guy. Recent years have been great for retro game fans. I play a lot of NES, SNES, Sega Master System, Game Gear, and Genesis, and even some Atari 2600. I like old 1980s arcade games too.

Retro is my youth, so that will always be special.

I'm not a PC-gane player, but I just finished a game called "Arcade Spirits" that really calls back to that era. I had a lot of fun with it.

Modern, retro games might be fun I like Crash Bandicoot, But games like Red Dead Redemption, Horizon Zero Dawn or The Last Of Us are far ahead.

The older I get, the more retro games I have so retro but there are so many modern games I love. I play both a lot but I mostly play ps2 and older. However, once cyberpunk comes out, I'll playing nothing but that game for a while.

It depends on what type of mood I'm in. A nostalgic part of me things games where made better in the past with if you take into account what they had to work with. Then, I go back and look at them and realize that frankly a loot of crap games were made back then also. It's just that they aren't remembered as well today, for good reason. It's easier to have all those bad and mediocre ones, which there are hundreds off, fade into obscurity. Even some of the good games from the past didn't age well, especially the ones that came from the first generation of 3D graphics. Still the classics are classic for a reason and I will sometimes go back to them. Over all I like both modern and classic games and they offer different things. Sometimes I like the enhanced visuals and complexity of the new stuff. Sometimes I like to spend a few hours on a game where you don't have to worry about hitting more than one or two buttons.

I like to have my case & eat it too, so modern remakes of classic games give the best of both worlds
