MMORPG's anyone?

or...Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games...anyone?

I downloaded 'Knightonline' (yet to install), anyone tried this yet?
Any other role playing games worth a look?

I have played Runescape, but got bored with it. Took way to long to accomplish the quests. Too much tedious repetitve action required. My wife however, is a big time player...one of the highest level players there in fact.

Oh, Runescape. It's like cheap crack for young children.

...my local libraries are always full of elementary/middle school kids on every computer playing that game. Fortunately, my library's system cuts them off after an hour.

I tried it myself, but couldn't get into it - all the players are too...'drone'-like. No personality. Then again, that's why I've stayed away from internet gaming altogether, for the most part...

I don't think Diablo II counts. It's not quite massive.

It's a fantastic game, though!

I'm jaded about MMOs, these days every company comes out with the same shit under different labels. (Excuse my French)

MMORPG.com has a huge listing of MMOs, be sure to look out for the most anticipated ones. Meanwhile everyone and his mother is playing Wow, I will be taking a break from the games altoghether until I am invited to beta test one.

Guild War really suck, limited to 20 level and that's not a true MMORPG but a CO (Co-Operative) ORPG, there's not this feeling of being in a virtual world and all..

World Of Warcraft for me but I don't play so much.

I've heard a lot of people say that, suppose it depends on the person really. Personally I couldn't get into WOW, the game was just too big for me. I couldn't work out how to talk to people or anything. Also there were too many people on the servers at any one time, so big slow down.

Does anyone else think that paying subscriptions for games is a rip off? Especially when Guild Wars shows you that developers can do it for free.

Anyone tried Guild Wars yet? It's a bit different to other MMORPG's, coz it's a no subscription game, totally Free.

I've got a brother and a few friends that just swear by guild wars. I haven't joined in the fun yet, but that's mostly because that whole "spare time" thing eludes me. :crying:

:nanner: If your willing to pay the 15 bucks a month, World of Warcraft is the best MMO out there. It is easy to learn and there is a lot of support for new players.

I'd recommend guild wars as well, alot of people complain of only reaching level20, but there actually going to be expanding this.
Apart from that, once you are on level 20, you get a chance to fight for Europe or USA, in the guild battles, which is what the game is really about.
One more thing, if you can create a couple of decent level 20 characters, someone will pay you a couple of hundred quid to buy them off you.

World Of Warcraft

Level 60 Undead Rogue
Level 50 Undead Shadow Priest

I got exalted with Thunder Bluff on Sunday with my priest and got my Kodo mount :nanner:
