The extremist Religious Right has taken over the Republican Party, and they are very, very serious...Both Romney and Santorum have aligned themselves with the Religious Right, and their agenda regarding obscenity laws is far more than just empty rhetoric..don't take our access to porn and and adult materials for granted because it can be taken away overnight.

I don't know what laws these people wast to enforce. The federal laws written in 1934 were good for their time. Let's face it, every minute spent without porn could be used in more productive ways. Print, radio, television, movies. All of these things could be controlled by the government. Fine. I know that Lucy and Rickey sleeping in separate beds was stupid but for the time that was okay. No harm done.

Times changed and the laws were pushed because all media is a canvas for art. The human body had been displayed in paintings and sculpture for hundreds of years. Books of romantic content too. The 1934 law was flawed from the beginning since Rubanesque paintings are obscene and ******* by the 1934 federal standards. When community standards started to come into play, that changed the picture. My little town can now define obscenity. the feds stay out. Kiddy porn and selling to minors was still a crime and still is. But now that the other material had been determined as a form of art then adults purchasing art is not a crime. So to say that magazines and movies have a right to produce art in socially acceptable and artistic forms.

Enter the home video era. If I make a video and my friends want to make home videos and exchange them, the law can't stop us. Just the same as if I want them to watch me do this live. No law is broken. Write a story (however lame or badly acted it is} it is now art. I can sell it now abiding to community standards. Locals determine the law and I have to abide by them. That's fine too. I can always move to someplace else that I can do this That's my choice.

Do we as a free society want to engage in the free flowing of information? I don't know. Bomb building, threats to the public safety, treason, money transactions. Sure I think that these should and could me MONITORED. That's as much as I want the government to do. I don't want them looking into everyone's movie downloads and trips to Target. That is a waste of time and my tax dollars to pay for that.

As far as porn goes, I still don't want **** to have access to it. The government can control the sales of it at the brick and mortar level but not on the Internet. The adults have the responsibility at the home level. Sure I consume porn. I am an adult. You consume porn. You are an adult. I don't want my *** or your *** consuming porn till they are adults.

Especially as it relates to The Adult Industry...alot of these people fancy themselves to be Republican...when The eradication of Porn is part of the Conservative Religious Extremist Republican agenda...

So now we potentially have "Big *******" monitoring all of our internet activities...and if a Repubican gets into office...We'll have, potentially, no porn... AND constant Internet surveillance .

No, I don't agree with this. The ISP has an agreement with us of how they share their information. Any changes need to be confirmed with the individuals using the service, Let us opt out. Some I don't caring sharing information with. others I don't. It could be with my ******* or Walmart or the government. I don't care.
