US Media Bias (Have to Agree)

Naturally, USA is in the top 10 again. I wonder if there's some kind of clause in Donald Trump's contract that USA must be in the top 10 every year.
Practically all the judges are affliated with NBC anyways...the network home for "The Apprentice".

The person that represents the USA always seems to be placed higher than she should. Usually the person from the host country seems to place higher than normal also. I doubt it's coincidence.

I'd normally avoid any political and most social thread that have anything to do with the US or other things, but I'll make this exception because I completely agree! The judges are way too often American or associated with American viewpoints and we should have a fair and round robin panel of judges of all the member countries.

As far as the host country, that's solved easily. The judges cannot be from the host country.

The women were rather thin, but they were hourglass figures so I can't complain. I just wish they had a few women that had a little more "width" to them. Oh well, I guess I don't like the norm. Maybe we could have a "Miss Full Figured" contest? Yeah, I'm dreaming again.

i followed the link above that took you to pics of some of the competitors. The South American contestants were all stunning, and so was Miss USA and Miss Poland. The northern or eastern Europeans shown there were all pretty plain, though.

They try to make it clear that these pegeant dont make women into sex objects, and in their eyes, implants make women sex objects. They do all these cheesy stuff like ask the girls questions about hunger and war and they make them show some talent they have when at the end of the day the bikini contest is the only thing that matters.

At any rate, what is the difference between Miss Universe and Miss World?

It is a politcal game and no longer a beauty contest !

I still enjoy watching it but kept in the back of my mind, it is a chess game organized by the politicans and the contestests are just poor kids being manipulated !

China has held hundreds of International Beauty contests last year and I wonder why?
