Heres a link for those who didn't watch and would like to see her and the story. I didn't watch, but she is very pretty.

Hours before the pageant began, dozens of protesters held a mock ceremony in downtown Mexico City that featured "Miss Marijuana," "Miss Sexual Health," "Miss Human Rights" and other candidates with obscenities written across their sashes. The group yelled "Neither ugly nor beautiful, should a woman be considered an object!"

I like the drama behind the crown. The geering of Miss USA stops when she speaks Spanish to the crowd. Miss Sweden not attending because her country doesn't think the pageant represents the "modern woman".

What is the modern woman anyway?

Tramp stamp on her back. 20 ear piercings, braless, mini skirt, cocaine in her purse....oh no! The modern woman is Paris Hilton.

Here's a link to some bikini pics. I like the interaction with the photog, Miss Lebanon, and Miss Korea (3rd place) at the 3:30 mark in the UTUBE vid in the middle of the page.

my gf and i watched the show and we both were happy with the winner . the miss usa thing , the falling , the booing was really bizzarre !

A bald chick and no blondes made the final 10? Who was judging this thing, Tony Romo and Michelle Kwan? Oh, really...? Never mind.

Miss Universe is US-biased ...

Miss Universe is US-biased, and I admit this as an American.
But the US-bias is really because of the US media.
As I've mentioned before, the US media is the most racist, sexist and continually ignorant industry we have in the US.
And that's heavily why most actors/actresses are so left-leaning after dealing with it.
And despite common counters, the media does not represent and cater to what most Americans want, but only that small, subset (sub-25%) that watch 8+ hours.

As far as Miss America getting boo'd, that's not even the half of it!
She was continually treated with disrespect and countless, endless insults and taunts throughout her stay in Mexico.
This is not uncommon for Americans traveling abroad now, even in the nations of their allies.
Frankly, I'm with NBC, it only goes so far, and it reflected very poorly on Mexico, even though only a subset of them (and not a majority) were guilty.

If you don't like the US' actions, the last thing you should do is alienate its citizens.
In fact, such attitudes is a good part of the reason why W. was re-elected, because even left Americans who can't stand them are so labeled, and people don't care.
Why? Because they are Americans, not because of what they believe or don't believe.

Many of my colleagues have experienced this traveling abroad in the last few years.

Well said Prof. I'd like to add that I felt this recent tradition of anti-US sentiments even before the 9/11 incident, when I was in Europe during the summer of 1999. I guess that's really neither here nor there. Go TRUMP...not.

People forget that most of the anti-US sediment started the second the USSR died.

During the Clinton administration, especially when I was working on missile defense (which Clinton heavily funded), I regularly got the "why do you need it?" from foreign nationals.
Clinton also got heavily bashed for completely going against UN and NATION rulings, and bombing without their approval.

The US didn't change -- just one "lesser of two evils" died, or at least from world view.

I guess that's really neither here nor there.
"America on tap, not on top."
Go TRUMP...not.
He's an ass and not a good representative of the American dream, not at all.

... Since this is a porn site, this is one of the few places where I can honestly say that I think she's wearing too many clothes... ;)

I was disappointed Miss Brazil didn't win.
I was unfortunate to tune in exactly when they were asked questions - like I care how they would use their super power to make the world a better place...

when is the sex tape coming out?
