Wales IS in Britain! England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland make up the British Isles. England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland make up the United Kingdom, and just to confuse it even further, each of these is a country in it's own right (Northern Ireland and Eire being 2 separate countries as well). :tongue:

BTW. I am proud of being English, and just as proud of being British. I will support any team, or member from any of the British Isles, but will of course, support an English person above the others when it comes to it. I makes me laugh when Scotland go on about independence, when they are more independent then England - they have their own parliament and their own laws, and there is no English Parliament at all - Westminster is a UK parliament with MP's coming from all over the UK. In fact the current Prime Minister is Scottish, as was Tony Blair before him.

That UK thing is needlessly confusing. England being called Britain is fine. Scotland and Wales being separate countries should stand apart. Not sure where kingdom comes in since I don't think any of them have a king. About the only thing they are united on is that the Irish should be buying the next round of beers.

No, England being called Britain is not fine - not by any stretch of the imagination. England is only a small part of Britain. We have a queen, hence Kingdom (the term is non sex specific, and a queen is actually a king as well). The United part I may have a minor issue with. As far as the Irish are concerned, I'm with you on that one. Line 'em up O'Reilly :glugglug:

Looks like campaign activity has really dropped off this round. Bet there are a few who now regret not helping Rebecca Jessop and Jane Burgess advance. The outlook for next round is even more depressing if Miss Hybrid and Nikki Nova get left behind.
