Nina has been my no. 1 vote precisely for some of the reasons you state. I've stated as much to her when the competition started and I vote for her consistently.

However, the race is for the top 3 in the final round of the contest...which means all each contestant need do is make the cut for each round...the final round is the only thing that matters.

What does it matter (beyond ego) if a contestant makes the cut for each round then her fans ultimately vote for her in the final round (where it actually counts)?

That's all some are saying. NM was merely an example IMO.

Before everyone ritualistically begins kissing Nina's ass and crucifying me as well as my posts, I would ask that you please look at my most recent posts as well as consider a couple of things.

1. I have a previous id here with 1,964 posts which I choose not to use anymore for personal reasons; moreover, I believe that this entitles me to have an opinion of my own, since I've more than surpassed the "magic" thousand-post threshold.

2. For the majority of the contest, Nina Mercedez has been in the top 10 and enjoys a lot of support. In no way am I saying that she does not deserve support, but the fact remains that, at this point in time, her position is very insulated and assured, while others who are consistent posters on this board could really use our help and our votes. As I said before, this is about votes and calculations and moving contestants upwards to reach a goal, it has nothing to do with who we like and don't like among the top 5 or 10.

3. I actually private messaged Nina to assure her of my intentions and what I actually meant in doing this, and she seemed very understanding as well as even passively supportive of the concept.

4. I fully understand that nobody is being forced to post messages here. None of us are fooling anyone, and we are all here for a certain reason, be it entertainment, monetary gain, or building a fan base. Yes, it's nice to chat and fraternize with the members regardless of their occupation or location or connection with the adult entertainment industry; however, we each have our own reasons for being here, and it is (or should be) understood that none of us owe any of us anything. It's also true that respect does go a long way, but so does the realization that this is a contest in which people want to do well and, if possible, advance. I fully understand and support what you are saying. Personally, I am only using 2 votes at present Miss Hybrid and Nikki Nova, so as not to water down my own voting. If things change as the month goes on, then maybe my voting will as well. If I see Nina moving down the ranks, then I will be voting for her as well, to ensure she makes the cut.
