Our actions have consequences. And whether you're signing up to be in a pageant or you sign a contract to work for a Fortune 500 company, if you sign any sort of "morals clause", you can expect that things might go south very quickly if there is anything in your past that could be used to trip you up. Right or wrong, that's the way it is. If I wrote a letter to a newspaper and said something that was socially unacceptable/non-PC, I expect it would probably affect my career and future. I'm generally happy where I am right now, so I don't write letters to newspapers. Well, I do... but I don't send them. That's not fair either, IMO. But as I said, that's the way it is.
She can still be a model. And depending on what sort of model she wants to be, she may even be able to use this (in)famy to boost her career.
