If that's true, then why did the government bail out the auto industry?

Because you need some manufacturing, it saved a shit-ton of jobs in all related industries, and we make some great cars.

Why is there no more steel industry?

Cheaper to do it in developing nations. This is hard to get around without starting trade wars. But it's irrelevant— you don't solve the problem by moving backwards, you solve it by moving forward. We're also still the most innovative country in the world.

Why are the only jobs people can get these days are low paying jobs with no health care?

They voted their power away. The right does not support labor or the rights of workers to a decent life.

It seems to me the only jobs that get paid well, other than the criminals in the government are being a drug dealer and the porn industry.

Government doesn't pay well— the criminals are in the finance industry and that pays better than just about anything (while producing nothing.)

There's actually very little money in porn right now because of content theft.

Drug dealing, however, is still very lucrative.

We are bad enough now, and looking at poor enough prospects in the future that at this point unless we come together as a country, do what's best for everybody, sacrifice, and try to help out the most people especially the ones that need it the most we are in deep crap, now and into the future.

At this point we need to all come together and do nothing less than restructure our entire society and the way it operates. Anything short of that and I don't see any reasonable sustainable recovery to what we once were at our height. Anything we are doing now will just be like putting a band-aid over a serious wound at best.
