Why only pornstars? isnt everybody horny 24/7?
I think it's awesome you came on here to clear up some misconceptions and answer questions.FO guys, questions? Ask.
Guys do have to be able to keep it up for prolonged amounts of time, they do have to perform around crew (or even OTHER male talent). And just the other day I watched a DP scene go on for 20 extra minutes because the director wanted both the male talent to pop... simultaneously.
Usually, if a guy pops too early then everyone has to hang around and wait for him to get going again and pop again.
I've got some questions about what I quoted above.
I think a lot of guys (and girls) who watch porn get an unreal expectation by how long male pornstars appear to last in films and there is a misconception that a guy has a special talent to be able to "fuck like a pornstar." I don't doubt some guys do have extraordinary stamina, but I am more apt to believe most are about average when it comes down to it. And just to be clear, I'm not talking about maintaining an erection here, but specifically controlling ejaculation.
In reality, or in your experience, how often does what you mention above (early pop) happen?
How much start/stop occurs in the course of shooting that allows the guy's arousal to wane?
Are desensitizing agents used with any frequency?
How much "pre-jerk" occurs? In other words, do most guys rub one (or more) out before starting a scene or do you guys just some time "fuck it out" real quick before getting down to shooting?
I know from personal experience that usually my first climax will come sooner than later ones in a multi-fuck session. And in fact, in later sessions I actually have to thrust harder and faster to maintain an erection and achieve climax at all while in earlier sessions a slower screw can do the job.

In my little over a year in the business (and not ALL my work being listed in my FO links, I've done more) -- an early pop has only happened once. And that guy was a newbie.
As for starting and stopping, it depends on the director. Some of them just shoot all the way through without stopping, some of them cut a lot.
I have never worked with or heard of anyone using desensitizing stuff in my career.
Rub one out before starting a scene? Seems like that would be a waste of a big pop. I've noticed guys usually trying to "save" themselves as much as possible for a scene.

Other misconceptions I seem to hear a lot are:
All porn stars are involved in a lot of drugs. Truth is, I would think heavy drug use would actually hurt performance. Same goes for excessive alcohol use.
It's a 24/7 party in the porn world. I see a lot of relatively early morning posting here by many of the ladies - I think it would be difficult to make a coherent post after clubbing an entire night, right? Can I ask a serious question? Neither of you are the first pornstar to ever voice their opinion on escorting, but it has always intrigued me to know why female pornstars sometimes almost get offended by the assumption that they do escorting as well. What is the difference between being an escort and being a pornstar?
In both situations, you are getting paid money to have sex with somebody. Whether that person is a complete stranger or somebody that works in the adult film industry, you are still getting paid to do the same exact thing. So, why is it that some female pornstars act as if they are sooooo different from one another?
Other than girls smoking pot (which everyone but me seems to do), people doing hard drugs isn't something I've heard too much about. I mean, I've heard one or two stories of girls way back when who had epic crash-and-burn situations, but that was just them, and they usually had a combination of problems.
As for alcohol, I personally don't think anyone should bring it near or on set, but if a girl wants to privately do a shot or something before a DP, well that's understandable to me.

But, common sense would tell you that escorting is no different than being a pornstar. Like I said, the only difference (from what I see) is that escorts are paid to have sex with strangers, whereas, porn stars are paid to have sex with people who work in the adult film industry.
