Okay - so, I had to *** in the middle of the movie. I left when they had Solomon Lane in the cell, in the subterranean location. Simon Pegg had just started to make a mask of Solomon, for a purported meeting with the .. intermediary woman in :20.
I came back, and Henry Cavill's character just realized that Solomon Lane was actually Simon Pegg in disguise, and he had been duped. WHAT WAS THE CONVERSATION THAT MISSED?! I'm guessing Henry Cavill's character was an Apostle, or a mole in the CIA? He knew Solomon / worked for him? At the end, he left with Solomon's detonator, so he was obviously a trusted member of the Syndicate.
Damnit..
P.S. This MI was the most confusing one since the first one, I thought. I liked the last (MI 5) one more..
