It is said many pedophiles have been raped by an adult or animal when they have been young.

It can not be a excuse why they themselves do the same.

We should differentiate between those who are attracted to children, and those who sexually abuse them. Not all who feel sexual attraction will go on to abuse children, and plenty who abuse children aren't attracted to them. There are some who are/do both, and a lot of people assume those cases represent all, but its not always so cut-and-dry. Either way, those who harm children get no sympathy from me.
