We’re a planet of list-makers, of voters, we like to group things into top tens, top 100s, best ever and worst ever.

So it should come as no surprise that hot on the heels of FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women In The World list, is a vote on the sexiest dame in prison.

Yes, you read that right. Lonely jailbirds across America have online profiles and dammit, they’re HOT!

According to the good people at Ranker, the accolade of sexiest jailbird goes to Renee Bell, a 33-year-old who is “in search of a real man for friendship, companionship and possibly more. Must be stable in all ways, willing to take on the responsibility of having a woman in prison."


The 6ft tall Christian does not reveal what she's behind bars for, but adds: “Must be willing to commit eventually. I promise you won’t be disappointed. Postage is hard to come by in prison, if possible send stamps.”

In second place is Maeghan Rice, who reveals she is serving time for second-degree murder.

She explains: "I got involved with the wrong guy at a young age and I am paying the price, now I want to find the right guy."

Renee and Maeghan's profiles feature on meet-an-inmate.com, where you can browse the profiles of hundreds of women (and men) all yearning to hear from you.

The website does include a disclaimer, but adds: “Even though these men and women are in prison, it doesn't mean that they are bad individuals. The majority of these inmates are fun, loving, clever, reliable, sexy and very passionate.

“It can be a lot of fun communicating with these inmates. They enjoy sports, music, arts, etc. just as you do. However, they are convicted felons and caution should be used.”

While the profiles featured do not include details of criminal convictions, that information can be found at Free Inmate Locator.

Arlen Bischke, who set up the site in 1988, does not recommend using the site to land a serious relationship.

In the FAQ section of the site, he admits: "The odds of everything working out are slim. There are just too many obstacles. I recommend the site for a friend/pen pal basis. It can be a lot of fun writing an inmate. I recommend not to send money to inmates.

"These men and women are inmates and are usually in prison for good reason. This is meet-an-inmate.com, not meet-a-girl-scout.com!"

Damn man, I just actually looked at that link and the majority of those girls are definitely not beautiful by any stretch of the imagination. Some in the slideshow are some lookers though.

Here's a young woman, who got 25 years for felony-murder in Washington State because her boyfriend at the time planned a robbery, and shot someone. While she was not involved in the planning, nor present at the robbery, nor ever held a weapon. Damn, that's harsh... Where's the justice?
