when i read CNN ..i was like wtf is "suspect in religious clothing and ready to go to war".... when a christian priest does a murder, the media goes all crazy identfying how he is christian and religious etc

my only beef is when the media isnt' fair....why do they mention when it is a christian or jew when they dont need to , but in this case, he was extreme muslim convert, and didnt want to release that

Pretty much across the board, the media went from "reporting" to "shaping" the news within the last 20 years. I don't know why, but it's just a fact now... and the "truth" is the casualty.

In the first article it says the suspect was dressed "like a priest." In the second article it says that the man was wearing a "tan robe" and had holy oil on him.

The third article states that the man requested a "Muslim burial."

So you are mad that the media is somehow pro-Islam and anti-Christian because what? The article doesn't specifically state that the first two suspects were Muslims killing for religious beliefs?

Could it be because maybe they weren't? You state that the person has a "muslim" name. How do you know? Or are you just assuming that any name that sounds like it could be arabic or middle-eastern belongs to a muslim?

I fail to see how these articles praise Islam or condone the actions of the suspects, so once again, what is the basis for your POV that they are pro-Islamic?

And can you post some of these articles that you claim are always attacking christians and jews?

I really have no idea what the OP is talking about. Since this person says he's in Iraq, maybe he/she is talking about the media there. Cause there's anything but a pro-Islam slant to the media here. It's more accurate to say that the media has a pro-Zionist slant, if anything.

But even more confusing is your perception of the aftermath of 9/11. From the happenings at Ground Zero, to the firefighters and police who lost their live & their families, to people who were on the flights, there were an incredible number of human interest stories done after 9/11.

I'm not defending the media here, but let's not pretend that something didn't happen, when in fact it did. M'kay. :thumbsup:

People were just going about their day on 911 like nothing was happening.

That's not exactly true is it? All airplanes were grounded. All cellphone networks were jammed (East of the Miss). The military was very "public" with air patrols. I would hazzard a guess that border crossings in Canada and San Diego were shut down.

Maybe in the heartland it was still Johnny and Jimmy riding their tractors....but in other places....9/11 caused ripples. I seem to recall Los Angeles and DC ordered the evacuation of people from all skyscrapers and national parks (like Yosemite) were emptied....

It is a national disgrace and embarrassment that nothing has been built and that Ground Zero is still a giant hole. Dubya should've eminent domained Ground Zero and began the rebuilding process.
