McDonalds Big Extra

I was viewing old movies from 1998 and ran across an ad for a burger called the BIG EXTRA. Remember it

What is on a big extra at McDonalds?
20 percent bigger to be exact. That's just under 5 ounces of ground beef, sprinkled with seasoned salt and stacked on a huge sesame seed bun, with the same ingredients as you find piled on the Whopper: lettuce, onion, tomato, ketchup, mayo and pickles. It's very tasty.

It was the answer to BKs Big King.

i liked the mc dlt but peeps hated all the foam packaging- keep the cool side cool and hot hot and it made a difference. I wonder if big extra had mac sauce as it is close to quarter pounder

mac dees should come out with buckets of whole chicken or half chicken deep fried like shakeys and stick it to kfc..

In Maine, the McDonald's serve lobster. I think it was like a lobster salad sandwich. Now Denny's had a lobster tank, and a local little mom and pop ice cream shop, had lobster ice cream. I never tried any of them, but did eat lobster at least 5 times that week.

i was listening to a vid of a 2 story mcdonalds in florida with pizza currently..
I remember McPizza. The only place I ever had it was at SkyDome (now Rogers Centre) in Toronto. Back a couple of decades (maybe more?), McDonalds had the food rights inside SkyDome and you could get anything on their normal menu including personal-sized McPizza. Back then though you could get McPizza at your local McDonalds too but that's all long gone.
