I sorta had the same feeling about your banner, Mandy. With so many others being animated, yours did seem too simple at first (and maybe too small a pic of you), but really, it's not too simple. (It's also not overly distracting either, like some are.) And the black really makes it stand out against the white background.
Oh, and about that question you had for Alkidder about your promo vid possibly being on Freeones, they do have soft-core vids. 127 of them in fact. I would think your promo vid would fit in nicely there.
