You mean the Columbia Tower, or the Space Needle?... Been to both. The Columbia Center is Much Much taller than the Needle. Went to a party there and had a tremendous view of everything around. The Space Needle has an extremely overpriced restaurant at the top, and not only is it overpriced, but they compliment their crazy prices with the tiniest portions I've ever seen at any restaurant anywhere! I had a supposedly 6oz filet mignon that cost $85. It came with 3 asparagus spears...yes THREE, and 2 BABY red potatoes the size of quarters, cut in half. That was it, $85 and mandatory 20% tip that is added to your bill, it is not optional.

Fortunately for all of you I have saved you some serious money! You can go to the top without eating at the pathetic restaurant for $15 and hang out for hours on the top deck. go check out the Experience Music Project (EMP) with your extra money now

i ment for the needle, it's the symbol of seattle, and wow very expensive. but hey, when u go for a pleasure, you don't go to feed the stomach, just for chilling and enjoying it. but agree with you that's just too much, otherwise it's nice to see the city from up there if could.

OUr alternate was Aqua, so my serious question, then, is how bummed should I be at the choice we made?

The chihuly ( spelling?) museum is cool by the needle... The first starbucks is close but was too busy to wait.

I'll ask a 2nd L if you'll remit... Where's been your favorite place to visit, and where else do you want to go? I'm pushing for Spain and italy or Hawaii next year

Not familliar with the Chihuly??? Have not eaten at Aqua either. Be bummed about your choice, very bummed

I absolutely loved Maui, loved the nude beach there (northwest of Big Beach). Definitely at the top of favorite places at this point. Tahoe and San Diego are up there on the list too.

In the future Australia, Europe (specifically England and Italy, but all over would be nice) and I would love to go explore a bunch of south pacific Islands....the Marshalls, head over to Guam (my fathers family originated there)
