Man, I need an apartment *rant*

There is liteally zero privacy at home and I get a billion questions whenever I want to leave the house. I get yelled at for making pizza late at night (and wanting to cook/eat my own meal) and get yelled at for staying up late every night. I love my folks but we are just clashing.

I also live at home, because I'm unemployed.

Wow. This is a target rich post...

I'll just ask you the following; Do you think you'd get "yelled" at if you were leaving the house going to a job? Do you think you'd get "yelled" at if you were staying up late doing homework for school? Do you think you'd get "yelled" at if you bought groceries and cooked the dinner?

I don't quite undestand your post. I have a job and give my folks some of my check everytime I get paid.

get an apartment and have a responsible room mate so you can split the bills in half

I liked living with my mom and I couldn't wait to move out. You can usually find a nice apartment for cheap. I had a 2 (huge) bedroom, huge living room, balcony for $740/month all inclusive.

Why haven't you moved out?

The question is why are you really being "yelled" at. I suspect your folks don't like where they think you go or why they think you're up.

Maybe they love you too and enough to be subtly trying to push you out of the nest....

In Los Angeles, you're lucky if you can find a single for the price of what you paid for that 2 bedroom

lol quite the opposite. They'd like it better if I stayed. It's amazing though. Like today, my mom walks up to my father and says she's going to the store. He sys ok. I walk up to hi and say the same thing, and I get a speech about conserving money and cime that takes place outside, and etc.

Do this, tell them you're thinking about getting your own place so you can stay up late, go where you want and cook pizza in the middle of the night. Then see what they say.

In poker that's referred to as "calling a bluff".

Well why don't you just up and move out? If your clashing that bad then just grow a pair and do it. What is your job BTW?

^^^ If you have a friend or two who are in the same position and are reliable ask them to go in with you to get a place so that the rent can be shared. Or if you can’t find anyone, check the local paper for house/apartment sharing opportunities.

Unless of course you want to live alone.

Living alone is the better plan.
You only have to answer to yourself.

Roommates might eventually turn to enemies - clashes about sleep time, food, utilities.

Good luck and keep us posted.
