Bernard Madoff pleaded guilty Thursday to an epic fraud that robbed investors worldwide of billions of dollars, avoiding eye contact with swindled investors before he was led out of court with his hands cuffed behind his back.

I don't think there's any fitting punishment for that fucking shit stain. I mean, he's already enjoyed the comforts of being a billionaire for decades. He's old and likely to die within the next few years in a prison cell, but that neither takes away the years that he lived an opulent lifestyle, nor does it give back all the money that he stole, not to mention his contribution to the current fucked up state of the economy.

This guy has lived the good life for decades & despite what many may think Madoff will more than likely live out his short life quietly/uneventfully behind bars.

This prison ass rape thing/prisoner code of conduct is highly, highly exaggerrated(blame hollywood) & only shows the helplessness/fear many feel about crime. Most criminals can care less whether or not Madoff ripped off people (Many wealthy ones) on the outside & may actually find his crime amusing.

I have known ex prisoners & prison guards(Angola Louisiana) who will attest to the fact that other prisoners(who are just as big slimeballs as Madoff) could really care less, for the most part. Unless these guys have unusually long sentences 'most' simply want to do their time & go to hell home.
And Federal prisons are far better than State prisons I am told.
It is far better to see him die behind bars than in one of his mansions however.

Because he's a public figure now, no matter where he goes, he will probably get put in some sort of solitary confinement away from the general prison population and still have it better than most prisoners.
