Oh, I forgot. I gave Revelation a read last month. I hadn't looked at it in ages. There are, as has been said, so many interpretations. I think maybe "The Beast" refers to a country. I think it talks about 10 horns, just from what I remember. Those horns supposedly represent countries. The Beast is one of them, that was seriously injured. Maybe economically? It then recovers somehow. I dunno, it all is so vague at this point.

Also, the 666 could be 626, or 616. Either way, it refers to a world order where people have supposedly 'grown up', become unified through thinking in a humanist way. Humans only. If only the lines did not have to be drawn in the sand as it were.

Sand, kingdoms and silicon microchips.

With terrorism, spybots, piles of credit cards, all the accroutements of daily life, it makes sense of course to have one universal number on one's person.

Of course, once you are in the system, you and your children can never get out.

Ha ha "because I grew up". That really makes me laugh. Funny, the church I am in is full of elderly people. They are wonderful, gentle folk full of love and caring. I will choose that over mockery and sarcasm any day. FYI, they look a whole lot younger and are more sprightly than one would think they would be at their age.

It's a wonderful thing that there are elderly people in your church living their lives as freely as they wish. But are you actually trying to get me to believe it's because of religion that they "they look a whole lot younger and are more sprightly than one would think they would be at their age". Really? Your serious?

You don't think it's just the modern healthcare and society that it allowing those people to live a lot longer and be healthier in their old age. We are at the most technically advanced stage of our history. We are at a stage when treatment and medication is at its peak and yet you see this as a sign of "Gods" doing? That makes me laugh, were there not religious people in the past who died at far younger ages than they are now the average life expectancy is growing during every generation. But religious faith continues to decline in popularity. Coincidence?

Don't take credit away from modern science when there is no place for you to do so. You sound as idiotic as the rest of them.

Did you know that water consists of two atoms, hydrogen and oxygen? Of course you do. You know of course that Oxygen has eight electrons, Hydrogen two? Together, when joined, they consist of 10 electrons. Two distinct atoms that join to form one new atom, which brings life and flows through this world.

Ten is the number of completion. What has this to do with religion, you snort?

Well, just a little mathematics for those who maybe, just maybe, humble themselves for 5 seconds, enough to actually, look, seek, question.

There are many indicators in nature pointing to God. 7 is a godly number, 12, 40, 10. 8 is the number of infinity. 3. We are the 3rd rock from the sun. Water is often a symbol for the Spirit. Remember Him? The one you swore at recently?

:crash:

Thanks for the elementary school science lesson. I guess that's as far as your knowledge of science and the natural world ends. You're quoting numbers nothing more, where does this prove anything? Please put before me a piece of research published in a scientific journal or two that has been peer reviewed that spells out what you're trying to say because at the moment spouting off numbers without any meaning is nonsense.

If you want to be taken seriously especially if you're trying to bring science into you religious arguments please do me the duty of backing these claims up with a little evidence otherwise you're nothing more than a crazy guy on the street shouting at the top of their lungs a quoting "facts" that are not there.

Without the planet Jupiter, we would have been extinct. How can it be mere coincidence that such a gigantic planet should be so strategically placed?

What better way for any intelligent being to communicate than through the Universal language of mathematics. It is God's way of saying "I AM Here".

DO give Sarah Miles' little intro a read, will you?

But, like I said, and Will said, no matter what anyone says you still will not believe. Some take comfort in mockery and scorn. I cannot for the life of me grasp why anyone would choose lies over belief.

There are so many wonderful examples of a Divine Presence throughout Nature.

Who knew there was a bigger religious retard on this board? :1orglaugh You know what, I'm going to leave you alone, there's no arguing with you, you sad, sad person. I actually feel sorry for you.

If you would like to take me up on any of the points I have raised above I will respond. But why talk to a brick wall? It makes me look as insane as you obviously are. But please no more tales of people rising from the dead. Like I said it makes you sound foolish.

This atheist has just two comments

What the heck is that? lol

Did you ever think that if we and Jupiter didn't exist nobody would miss us?
Our being here is the culmination of millions of random circumstances coming together to make it possible. It's big universe it was bound to happen in a few places.

I cannot for the life of me grasp why anyone would choose lies over belief.

But you see I on the other hand can totally understand why some would choose belief over truth. It offers simplistic answers to complicated questions and sheesh even eternal life.

There's no reason to discuss this. I won't change your mind and no one will change my mind.

Your mind is made up because you just don't want to believe, which is a shame.

Proverbs 18:13 (KJV)
He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.

:hatsoff:

This is the first sensible post you have made.

Your mind is made up because you just don't want to believe, which is a shame.

The above quote by you is also applicable to you.

;) But of course, there is life on Mars. :1orglaugh

Proverbs 18:13 (KJV)
He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.

John 8:42-45 (KJV)
42: Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
43: Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
44: Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
45: And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

Not much else to say, huh? I don't blame you.

But that's some mighty fine copying and pasting you've done there. You should feel proud of yourself.

Round of applause for Wainker99, he did that all by himself . . . .
