Are these the same "scholars" like the Scribes and Pharisees? The same people Jesus rebuked?
No one needs the Hebrew or Greek corrupted texts to understand the scriptures.
So you think the bible you read today hasn't been tampered with at all over all this time? We only have to take a look back and read what King James ordered whenhe had it translated into English. He had it changed to fit the needs of the church, which of course he was head of.
You really think the long line of succession in terms of Bible translations from it's original form to the one we have now that King James was the only person to order parts of it be changed to suit their own end? And how many mistranslations throughout that time have happened. It was wirtten by men after all, was it not? Trying to find the true meaning in a text not in your native tongue isn't the easiest thing to dissect. I wonder how many passages you read that weren't even in the original. Or have lost the meaning they once had, it's quite funny really.
But of course continue to quote the text. It gives us all a laugh, but start thinking about how different those quotes sound today than when they were written originally. Which coincidentally was also written by men, now isnt that funy

But don't quote the bible at me when you do, we all know how fraudulent that piece of toilet paper is. Point me in the direction of an unbiased scholar who can pick apart every single one of my claims and tell me the "truth" without having to use "faith" and religious imagry at all to back up their claims.

My mind is made up because I grew up. I stopped believing in fairy stories a long time ago. The real shame is the fact that you do not seem to have the capacity for rational thought. But what can you do, crackpot religious types are all the same. So yes, indeed let us end this here and now.

Ha ha "because I grew up". That really makes me laugh. Funny, the church I am in is full of elderly people. They are wonderful, gentle folk full of love and caring. I will choose that over mockery and sarcasm any day. FYI, they look a whole lot younger and are more sprightly than one would think they would be at their age.
