Lisa Marie’s roles in loopy director Tim Burton’s movies may seem totally unrelated—talent-challenged horror actress Vampira in Ed Wood, eye-popping alien bombshell in Mars Attacks!, 18th-century hippie chick in the spooky new Sleepy Hollow—but one thing strings them all together. Corsets. Really tight corsets.
“That’s OK, because they’re a real turn-on to wear,” says curvaceous Lisa, whose offscreen corset fetish keeps several garment makers busy creating the things from her designs. “I’d walk around in corsets and panties all the time if I could—actually I do, at home. I’d just like to wear that and a big coat and high heels when I go out. I could forget the coat, but I must have the high heels. I’d walk across Death Valley in stilettos.”
Now that she’s doing research for the part of a dominatrix, she confesses a fascination with the whole whips-and-chains scene. “I’m into bondage. I like the way it looks, and the way it feels being wrapped and tied. Some women think it’s not right if you dress for your man. I dress for myself, but if your man likes certain things, why not do that too?”
