What a bunch of cowards. Great things have been achieved from behind bars. It's the man, not the place. It's called overcoming, about striving to be better, no matter what the circumstances.

Would it be awful? Probably. A horror show? Possibly. Could you become more than you are, could you contribute from confines? Definitely.

Would you maintain that mindset in prison? Knowing you're going to die there?*No matter how much you overcome or contribute? Knowing you could be stabbed or raped for looking at someone the wrong way? It's easy to say you'd make the best of the situation when you're not there. Call me weak, but I'm not living the next 50 years of my life in a cold, dark cell with murderers, rapists, etc.

The one and only.
Choose Life.

Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking big television, choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol, and dental insurance. Choose fixed interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisurewear and matching luggage. Choose a three-piece suit on hire purchase in a range of fucking fabrics. Choose DIY and wondering who the fuck you are on Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pissing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked up brats you spawned to replace yourselves. Choose your future. Choose life... But why would I want to do a thing like that? I chose not to choose life. I chose somethin' else. And the reasons? There are no reasons.

Random extrapolation: This poll reflects your stance on abortion. Post accordingly.

Honestly, STD, I really don't know, but I would hope so and try to.

But, I will admit, if I ended up someone's girlfriend or, worse, a pass around prag, I might consider checking out on the end of a knotted prison sheet.

But I'd definitely chose life and try to make something of it, no matter how meager. Thing is, with life, there's always hope and possibility.

To quote House: the thing about life is, you have it.

What's the point in living if you know you're just going to die in jail anyway? So you can think? Think about how you're a failure and you're going to die a failure in a shithole jail cell? Kill me now.

You could say that about pretty much any and all of us. I believe it was Malcolm X that said "the price of freedom is death." I think there's some truth to that. :2 cents:

If you're punching a clock everyday for something you don't believe in than pretty much, you should question your existence. With that said, I am spiritual (I believe in God). If I wasn't, I probably would've blown my brains out a long time ago.

Life without parole is living death. Better to be a dead man than a dead man walking.

I'd choose life in prison and hope for a hurricane or some other natural calamity to bring down the walls....;);)

Why save the world, when you can rule it?
Death.

Life would be acceptable if I could guarantee I wouldn't have to interract with shithead prisoners or get raped, but not very acceptable.

Where there's life, there's hope.
I refuse to give up.
You may think that you would choose death, but faced with the stark reality, you would choose to live. It is just how we, as humans, are built - we strive for life under even the most terrible circumstances.
