Life in prison with no chance of parole or Death?

I worked as a prison guard for a few years.. Most of our buttheads had 2 years or less left on their sentences. These guys had a lot to lose if they caught a case and they still showed their asses. Even if I were confined for life with nothing but S1 inmates I'd rather drink the hemlock.

Not really. In order to be faced with either life in prison with no parole or the death penalty you'd had to have done something pretty horrific to begin with. People that do that shouldn't get the choice they'd prefer in the matter, which as most people seem to think would be death. Why give them the easy way out?
