No knickers are twisted, I assure you. And I do give thanks when help is offered. This wasn't help, it was a seemingly random, irrelevant part of the constitution with no explanation as to how it relates to the question.
It's specific enough to state that the federal government can fix the Standard of Weights and Measures, punish counterfeiters, pirates, and felons, and establish a post office, among many other things, but any mention of immigration is conspicuously absent.

If, in answer to a question, I posted a link to unrelated information and said "it's probably in there somewhere," I wouldn't demand to be thanked.

I wasn't making an argument. I was simply answering that question. It was a short read, but to point out the text, it is, "To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization "

That is where it stems from. Now, as I'm assuming you are aware the Court gave "plenary power" over immigration to Congress and the Executive. The Court also allowed Congress to delegate its immigration authority to the Executive. So, the plenary power doctrine and the delegated power is what gave Obama and now Trump powers to make decisions on immigration. Congress could repeal that authority if they choose to.

Keeping the current out of the discussion because I'm not arguing, Obama made decisions on deferring deportations of young people who have graduated from high schools in the US and he was within his rights based on the doctrine.

You have to look to the evolving court decisions to find the control of immigration within the United States.

This answers the original question. I believe it also addresses some of the other discussion.

That is an answer, thank you. I would argue that "naturalization" refers to citizenship, not all legal immigration status. I lived in the states for 10 years, could quite easily still be there now, and I was never naturalized.
I'm not up on the history of the court decisions, so we've reached the edge of my solid platform for argument, but I'd imagine that that's all well and good as long as the state is ok with what the fed is doing with regard to immigration, but becomes a problem when the fed moves into a state uninvited or against that state's wishes to enforce immigration laws that the state doesn't agree with. I think there'd be a lot of money to be made by lawyers in that area, given that this ability is not expressly, or arguably even implicitly, granted by the constitution.

As I type this, I am watching this TV show "Most Shocking: Stopped by the Law 2"
It is clip after clip of all the dangerous drama situations (Bullshit) that armed Police Officers have to put up with from big, strong, out of control, intoxicated, drugged up, disobedient ... felons ... convicts, etc. On many of those occasions even with multiple Officers the resisting, uncooperative subjects cannot be subdued.

What chance would these unarmed supposed "Peace Officers" have against all those maggots ... armed with nothing, but strategies to prevent conflict? A drug dealer with a couple of bricks of cocaine in his car and shitloads of cash on his person (like I saw a while ago) is not going to surrender to "strategies."
