look up Chairman Pao. the former CEO of reddit
Ellen Pao: a paper pushing, junior partner at Kleiner Perkins. I posted about her more than a few times on here over the past year or two. While at Kleiner, she got low evaluation marks because of her defensive, abrasive nature and inability to work within a team (a
tad bit important for an investment banker). They eventually rid themselves of her and she sued the firm for gender discrimination and several other "crimes against humanity". She wound up owing them money for their legal bills when she lost the suit. She's a true dumbass with a sense of entitlement as big as Jupiter.
Then, while at Reddit, she proceeded to show why the folks at Kleiner Perkins were lucky to have shown her the door when they did. Among other intellectual gems, she banned salary negotiations because
she said that women weren't good at negotiating
(she was an investment banker, as you recall), and having to negotiate their pay was one of the reasons why men make more money than women. Just imagine the shit storm that would have ensued if a man had said that women wouldn't be hired as corporate attorneys or investment bankers because they're not good negotiators. Well, the Reddit community got tired of her dumb ass too, and they ran her out the door as well.
Look, as I post about these flaky, dim-witted Social Justice Warrior types, I'm not intending to come off as if I don't like women or anybody else. As I've posted on here many times, I pretty much see people all the same way: I hate everybody equally
(humans, that is - I like cats and dogs just fine).
And yes, I do recognize that a great many groups have faced discrimination and injustice in our society over the years. And I don't agree with that. I believe in true equality of opportunity, not quotas and excuses. And I think that we should work toward providing opportunities to as many people as we possibly can. But if you muff the ball when the opportunity is passed to you, well, that's on you! No, you don't get a safe space or a participation ribbon! So when people whine to the moon when they fail, because of their own incompetence or weak abilities, that irritates me and yes, I do make fun of them. How in the world can a White or Jewish female from a wealthy family, who has attended the best schools, look at some poor White male, who worked his way through junior college and then gotten a partial scholarship to a half decent school, and claim that he has "male privilege??? And that he should attend some sort of goofy ass feminist indoctrination class on how to punch himself in the balls, and feel bad that he has some sort of make believe advantage over these women, especially the ones from families that can introduce them to the upper echelons of the 1%? The biggest advantage in going to certain schools is not what you learn, it's who you meet along the way. Fair or unfair, that's just the way that it is. And the best way to overcome that is to make yourself stronger, not to support efforts to lower the bar or to make society weaker. And that's the beef that I have with these weak, fragile, overly delicate, whiny people. IMO, they are driving the bus to our societal demise.
