Update: Just spent a lot of time on the PKR site yesterday playing. Here are a few pointers for those who haven't been yet.
--It's visually confusing, but neat-looking, at first. You'll have to train yourself in looking here then there to see everything you have to see.
--They play the double blind rules and you'll have to occasionally ante up despite your shitty hold cards, unless you sit the hand out.
--They've packed as much fun and realism as they could into this. That's good, but it means you'll have to do things like remembering your hold cards, since you have to check them every time you want to see them, and everybody can see you doing this.
--There is the usual chat function option, but hand outcomes do not show up on it like on other poker sites. Figuring out who actually won the hand can sometimes be tedious. The winners hands are shown initially to the left side of the screen, then repeated as text in the center.
--There is a bizarre "split pot" function, where the pot could be split by two, three or even four players, depending to some extent on high hold card, but not entirely.:dunno: I still haven't figured this one out.
--There is a fun "jeers and cheers" function which allows you to cheer or taunt your opponents. Can be fun but it's often annoying.
--If you haven't got on yet, do so. You get to customize your own character, and that character is the one you'll see when you play.
The prof players are still playing online for all I know..
